Rooted In Nature

Summertown, Tennessee

Sights and sounds of life. The wildest places on earth.

Shenandoah Farms was a dream which has now come true. “Rebuilt” on it’s original site, this mid-18th century log cabin was re-assembled and designed to connect the past to the future…mirroring the three generations which will now call it their country home. Although the schematic design may be of simple design, the end product is a beautiful and detail-driven piece of art. The PTA team used original elements of stone, chink and wood as the cornerstone of this family farm house which was designed to accommodate their diverse family’s needs.

Indoor and outdoor dining areas were maximized for a crowd, as well as bunk space for a “small herd” of cousins begging to head to the farm. The retractable hand forged ship’s ladder only adds to the excitement of climbing up into the “roost” when all fishing and lightning bugs limits have been reached for the day.

Simple living at Shenandoah Farm will be a long-lasting respite from the busy lives spent in the city and memories of it will last far beyond the carefree days of summer.
