Staff Accountant

Our Nashville, TN Studio is seeking an organized, detail oriented Staff Accountant to join our Accounting and Administrative team. The Staff Accountant will work closely with our Workplace Coordinator, Operations Coordinator, Accounting Manager, and Director of Finance. Our environment is completely collaborative and process driven. Opening is currently in our Nashville office. This is a full-time, in-office position.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of applicable experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Strong proven ability to multi-task and maintain results in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

  • Values the importance of timely, accurate reporting

  • Knowledge of basic computer operations and software

  • Willingness and ability to follow direct instructions

  • Client service focused

Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

  • Daily record expenses that have been approved by authorized members of management

  • Timely and accurately record recurring transactions (monthly, quarterly, annually) approved by Controller

  • Assist in entering transactions accurately and obtaining timely support for credit card activity

  • Obtain necessary information for new vendors (i.e., W-9, COI)

Project Administration

  • Monitor budget to actual for ongoing projects and provide reports to Controller

  • Monitor project schedules and provide reports to Controller

Financial Reporting – Monthly analysis, reconciliations, and journal entries for:

  • AR, invoicing, contracts, and allowances

  • Fixed Assets and depreciation

  • AP and vendor payments

  • Other liabilities (credit cards, loans) and related expenses (interest exp)

  • Inter-company due to/from

  • Budget reporting of project and GL accounts

  • Weekly cash and debt reporting

  • Assist with ad hoc reporting needs, as requested

Compensation

This is a full-time position; salary will be commensurate with experience and skill level.
