Wildwood
Reflective of late 18th century English colonial architecture, Wildwood Cottage is indicative of the classic formal country house. Named “Wildwood Cottage” by the original owners upon completion of the house in the 1980s, the architecture reflects a studied eye for classical principles and hierarchy juxtaposed against the Mississippi Delta’s cotton and soybean fields. Our goal in the design was to maintain the understated formality of the existing structure without compromising on modern conveniences. The renovation included an extension of the master suite, a revitalization of the exterior and its surroundings, and the construction of a garden folly inspired by colonial Williamsburg architecture.
